Pulse XE bed leveling
-
My best efforts at leveling my bed was still off. Turns out it is not the Garolite surface, but the laser cut aluminum frame underneath.
I placed a 0.5mm shim under the front right corner and walla...
I went from a 0.585mm deviation to now 0.287mm

You can export the leveling mesh as an stl. Here is a video.
Here is the stl after being stretch to show the displacements better.

This is a good way to check the level of your bed. I use a glass bed to check the frame mounting. The less you have to use bed mesh calibration, the better your prints will be. Especially when printing higher temperature plastics where the initial layer has to be smashed flat against the surface.

@intj123 I use no glue. Nylon adheres to exposed fibers on Matterhackers layer lock. After you remove your print, you must resand the surface.
