MatterControl over extruding material
-
I need to reduce the extrusion amount of MC by 15%. I have done enough testing now and know that it is off by this much. However, during bridging, the extrusion needs to come up 5-10%. Is there a simple way of changing this or is this internal programming? So if the 100% extrusion amount was reset to 15% lower, the bridging amount would need to be 20-30% over that.
Temporarily, I am adjust the extrusion down 15% on the Duet web interface, and then during bridging, I am adjusting up to 105-110%.

I will try setting the extrusion multiplier down -15%
In MatterControl: Slice Settings > Filament > Advanced > Extrusion Multiplier -15%.

@tinken Have you tried doing an E-step calibration?

This was originally brought to me by another member. I have dialed it in to being a 10% global over extrusion. From there I use 5% less extrusion on the first layer. This is not noticeable until I began to make very small engineering grade parts. I suspect that the calibration for material size and density needs to be corrected.

@tinken Would it be possible to get a photo of the part and possibly the STL in order to replicate the problem here with the hope of having our dev team correct the issue?

@fernando-silva I will see what I can do. I need to do a little more testing with this. I know it looks odd that a moderator would be having any kind of issue with MatterControl. But I am currently both using and modifying MC on a daily basis and I hope to resolve bugs or make improvements before others encounter them.
