Printing from a SD Card not possible
-
Hi all,
I have a Pulse XE (d-232) and when I try to print a Gcode file from the card, the display shows “STOPPED” once the proper bed and nozzle temps are reached.
I did notice that the leveling sensor doesn’t click and light up when I first turn the machine one. I think it’s related to that.
Thoughts anybody?

@rjderama Does it still print from MC? Sounds like a power/wiring problem to me

@mpirringer
Hi! I haven’t tried that yet. I will today. But I agree it isn’t even connected.

Likewise, I can't print from sd card on my plus ex. I'm a 3D newbie AND barely computer literate. I download stl file from Tinkercad, go to MC and slice it, get the g-code on the sd card from MC alright, but my printer doesn't acknowledge I've even inserted an sd card in, in any way. I'm too dumb to know if it's my error or my printer, or the sd card, or my MacAir.

@beard make sure the .gcode file is in the root. And also check your wires. If the Viki (display) is not plugged in right it will not read the card. On my pulse there are 2 plugs one is for the display they other for the card - but then - least likely its a bad card reader

@mpirringer
I will check these, brand new machine, so anything is possible. thanks

@beard I haven't seen one of their current new machines but in my case I had to plug a couple of things in myself and its possible to plug it in wrong as they are not keyed and as there are no provisions to shift them over by 1 in any direction

@mpirringer OK, here's the deal. as afore mentioned, I'm an idiot. MH tech. pointed out I can not use a 128GB sd card.. Cannot be more than 8GB (I have the S-232) or it can not be read.

@beard OOPs that one was so obvious I did not mention it - sorry. They should put a big sticker on it or join the 21st century and find a mb/firmware/display combo that can handle a bigger format.
