Creality Ender 5

  • Hello,
I'm new to this forum and 3D printing as well. Just got a Creality Ender 5, and decided on MatterHackers' MatterControl for my slicing needs. During initial setup, the Ender 5 is not included in the list of printers. Should I create the profile from scratch or use one of the included Creality profiles and modify it, (bed dimensions, etc.)? Any help from someone who has already setup MatterControl for this specific printer would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jesse

  • I would highly recommend NOT using Mattercontrol. It's buggy, inefficient, and produces a horrible finish when compared to Cura.

While we do not currently have an Ender5 in house to use or play with, a profile has not officially been created. I would not really want to recommend starting from pre-made profiles for a different as they can contain different start and end G Codes which may damage your machine itself.
It is with that said, I would recommend starting a profile from scratch.
