Digging into plate after calibrating

Hello, I am using the Pulse XE and whenever I calibrate it, it digs into the plate on the next print I try.
I'm calibrating it properly, using the most recent Matterhackers App. But every time I do that then try to print again I just get something like the attached picture.
For now I've resorted to printing at +5.00 Z calibration.
How can I fix this problem so that I don't further destroy my plate?
