1.7 on older mac but newer Qidi printer?

1.7 shows Qidi brand but only the Qidi Tech 1 and I am looking at the Qidi X Plus. Would it still work with this newer model printer?

they have not done anything on 1.7 for over 2 years it was replaced with 2.x But in general you could set up a custom printer and take it from there - if it takes Gcode it should work

@mpirringer I was thinking similar. They maybe improved speed and such of the app BUT it still puts out the same files so it seemed to me it should. But I am new to this so until I buy it, there are a few logistics I don't know yet.

I use 1.7 and have found no problems with it , compared to when I tried V2.
I also have a paid version of Symplify3D and still use 1.7. I must admit, that if I need support I go to simplify3D download the gcode and print it in 1.7
