Z home going to low on home. Help Needed!!

Hello the problem I am having is that the extruder enters my print mat when set to home z. This happens every time. I have releveld the bed several times and this happens even after lowering the bed and leveling it again. Do I need to set a z offset? Printer is all stock monoprice select maker v2.

You could try a Z offset. But I would make sure that the Z limit switch - the one that helps it to home is ok IOW has not moved, is loose, Bent or damaged in some other way

That sounds about right.
But I would also try to make an adjustable end stop for the Z axis, it helps a great deal.
