How good is it

At the moment I a still using v1.75, have tried v2 but did not really like it, things are much more difficult to find.
The worst thing I find in control is the supports, it adds them where I don't need them, unlike simplify3D which allows you to add or take away supports.
I am told that in v2 support has been improved, how must so, and is it really an improvement, or just cosmetic.

2.0 does indeed allow you to manually create and delete individual supports.
