The Ease of building and remixing stl's in MC.
-
I have spent the past several weeks doing all remixes and attempting to do most designing in MC for robotics parts and gun parts/accessories. I must say, I am highly impressed with the ease of being able to do so. For a few years now all I was using MC for was printing. But I have been able to spend the majority of my time in MC the past few weeks.
As far as splitting models, I have only had one instance where a model was not split clean, but was able to clean it up within MC. Being able to set transparency on individual parts would be a wonderful addition. The next few days I will be using the measurement features more, so I can get a feel for those. If I can do accurate measurements with ease, I believe MC will easily be able to take care of pretty much anything I do.
Great work, I'm loving it.

Thanks for sharing, that is so fun to hear. And regarding transparency, my favorite thing is to try and implement features for people enjoying and pushing the product. I'll see what we can do to accelerate both transparency and locking.

Thank you Lars! That would be very much appreciated.

@intj123 Thank you. I'll give that a try.

You can also change the item to support. This will make it transparent when not selected.
But be sure to change it back before you print so you will not have it turn into supports.

@larsbrubaker Thats a wonderful idea. Thank you.

Transparent Rendering
You can now set any part to have transparent rendering to help with modeling and placement.
