Sliced object position offset from original model

With Slic3r or Cura selected in MatterControl 1.4, the sliced model is offset from its original position in 3D View.
The offset distance is different for each model and slicer, ranging from a couple millimeters to several centimeters. Sometimes it will center based on the object's black (centroid?) arrow.
