Error on Startup in OSX - "Service exited with abnormal code: 1"

Hi! Trying to get MatterControl running on a MacBookPro running OSX 10.10.5 The installation ran without complaint, but the application dies immediately and I see the following entry in the console log:
7/7/16 9:42:12.912 PM com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (ZQ9YKH9R5V.com.matterhackers.mattercontrol.171852[513]) Service exited with abnormal code: 1
Any advice for this newb?

I should note that the first thing I did was to hop into Disk Utility and ran Repair Permissions. That ran fine, but I got the same MatterControl error afterward.

Nothing comes to mind looking at that console log. Have a look at the instructions for generating a terminal error log in OS X: MatterControl Wiki: Mac Terminal
