Sticking to the raft.
-
When I first discovered the raft, it was great, although I thought it used an excessive amount of plastic. The relevant point is that it stuck to the bed really well, but also unstuck from the raft really well.
I must've changed a relevant setting because now everything is coming out properly welded to the raft.
I've tried turning up the air gap; when it was working well I had it at 0.7, now is at 0.9 and still sticking...

I recommend avoiding rafts whenever possible. If you are using a decent bed surface, then the bottom of your prints will come out nicer and it will still stick well and be easy to remove. See our article on bed surfaces.

Cooling can have a substantial effect on the raft. Perhaps you had your cooling fan on last time?

I think the fan was on before and I appear to have it on now...

Cooling can have a substantial effect on the raft. Perhaps you had your cooling fan on last time?I can see that is a sound recommendation, but the printer has to prove itself before I can spend any more on it so for the time being I am stuck with rafting and any tips would be appreciated.
Like I said earlier: it worked perfectly before and I cannot see what I've done different.

Maybe it's just the prints you are doing. A fatter print will stick more to the raft.
