So I just install mattercontrol on an older computer but it has all the requirements for mattercontrol to run. I can connect and run the printer but whenever I try and slice some, no matter how small the monitor starts flickering and then the model and bed do not show on the screen anymore and basically locks up

Mattercontrol is freaking out when trying to slice

So i built a printer and am using repetier firmware. I finished this rebuild about 1 month ago and after tweeting a few things here and there it has been working great. The issue is all of a sudden after I had to cancel a print, I went to rerun the part and now it for some reason has a offset. I have gone through everything I can think of and can’t see anything with any sort of offset that has got changed. I can home the printer(max) and the go to Z0 and it is perfectly touching the bed so I know that is correct. I have reinstalled firmware, mattercontrol, cleared out all mattercontrol files. Ran autoleveling again. I found one article on reddit that someone had the same issue but didn’t have an answer.
The thing is that before I rebuilt this printer I had ran into this very issue and tech support had been working with me on it but I feel like the answer that they came up with was kinda just a work around for the problem. That was on different computer with different firmware.
Something I did notice last night was that when I slice an object in mattercontrol the exported gcode start code is different then the gcode that ran in the terminal for that object.

Getting poor extrusion on some layers.

I am using the mattercontrol slicer which has been working fine until a month ago or so.
So when I want to print something I create the part, slice it with mattercontrol. Then hit print. It homes the printer (homes to the top) and goes to the hot end warm up position. As soon as it is to temp it goes to the xy position but does not drop the z axis.
I’ll try and post some gcode later.

Well I tried that and it did the same thing. Homed the printer, G90, resliced and print. Nothing changed.

My printer is home made and I have been running it for quite some time. It seemed to start doing this out of the blue. I examined the issue in a little more detail and what happens is when it goes to the heating extruded position (No matter where I make it) as soon as it is done heating it goes directly to the XY position and starts printing. Does not move in the z axis. It is written this way in the gcode.

As the title says........I turn the printer on and connect to it, it will print at bed level but if I have to restart the print for any reason it starts printing at 36 mm in the air. I’m at a loss.
