@cpat I am running MatterControl on MacBook Pro 2016 model running macOS Monterey 12.01.1. I do not own a Windows based computer. Could macOS version be the issue?

RE: BLTouch activation on Pulse XE
@tinken Followed your instructions of yesterday. After running the nozzle to bed surface with paper I was not offered a means to run Print Leveling with the BLTouch. In face it wanted me to run the Paper routine again. If I left click on the magenta rectangle in upper left corner a box appears saying completed.

RE: BLTouch activation on Pulse XE
@tinken Question is how do I activate the BLTouch. I do not see any means to do so in printer menus or MatterControl. Let me explain I am 82yo guy that has been doing 3D printing successfully on CR10S and AnyCubic Vyper for last year!I was given Pulse XD as gift by our kids to challenge me further in 3D printing. First few prints were very good. Prints now are now showing issues that I would normally start investigation issue by running BLTouch. Here are 3 images of last prints all seem to have issues I have never seen before.

RE: BLTouch activation on Pulse XE
Interesting there have been no responses to my question. I have prior experience on CR10S V2 Pro with BLTouch and found it an accurate way to trammel the bed. I can disarm the process or set it in every models gcode to measure before each print. Usually only use after printer is moved or I get a print that is not quite to par. When I saw the Pulse XE with BLTouch mounted on it I became curious why I was only offered a tramming method using a piece of paper.

BLTouch activation on Pulse XE
Using MatterControl 2.21.12.11232 and while I have found the BLTouch controls to Deploy, Stow, etc. I have nothing that sets the BLTouch on to trammel the Hot Bed. Is this device only activated by codes?

@tinken
Think maybe a E3D .4mm Hardened Steel was difficult getting a good image. Agree on hardened steel as replacement. -
RE: New user of Pulse XD questions
Lars, Thank you. Just before reading your reply I found Hot End and Bed Tab on upper right corner of screen. I am printing from SD card now and seems to be working fine. Will try resetting the tension screw.
Aware the nozzle is .04mm diameter. But confused by what thread is on nozzle going into hot end. Thread diameter and length are part of replacement specifications.
One new comment. When I go to load filament the text on menu reads "purge". Shouldn't it read "load"?Pat

New user of Pulse XD questions
Received Pulse XE for Christmas and have a few questions. I have been using a CR10S V2 Pro for about a year and AnyCubic Vyper for about 6 weeks. So that is my background. The Pulse is a delight compared to the above two. Questions are:
- Printer has 32bit MB, can I use the SD card with a Gcode file instead of using MatterControl to send file. Do I lose ability to Resume a paused file?
- Cannot seem to push filament past the feed gears. Can I lengthen the distance feed distance in screen to make this go faster. I dither d back off about 1/4 turn the feed knob, can I go further without impacting the drive gears.
- Don't see a Hot End Icon in MatterControl. Is that only in Pro version. Have tried clicking on printer icon with any success.
- Manual nor your web site specify the exact nozzle size. I like to have a standby
Have printed several Twisted Boxes without great successes. Love the highly polished finish of top and bottom of boxes. Looking forward to many successful prints
