Calibrating for titan aero extruder
-
I am new to the hobby, i purchased a prusa clone unit, and updated it with the titan aero extruder, i cannot seem to wrap my head around the changes needed in the Marlin firmware. The unit has 3:1 gearing with a 7.3mm hobb gear. I know how to update the Marlin program but don't know how to come up with the steps per mm.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

@Skaha E3D has an excellent guide for updating Marlin at Titan Aero Marlin Configuration. Review this guide and if you continue to have issues on the configuration, then drop us an e-mail at support@matterhackers.com.

Thanks for your reply scott, i understand how to update the marlin software, i am having trouble coming up with the proper steps for the extruder stepper, there are several different methods on the net however i come up with a different number of steps on each formula.

@Skaha Terry, I apologize for the late response. The best way forward is to follow the process at How To Calibrate Your Extruder and that should give you the correct value.
