Part fan won't run when printing



  • If MatterControl is loaded and the part cooling fan is turned on, the part cooling fan runs as expected. When a part is printing, the fan does not run even though all fan settings are set to 100%. Even more interesting is that once a print is finished, the part fan can no longer be turned on with the part cooling fan control.

    What am I missing?

  • Here is the latest file in the appdata/local/mattercontrol/profiles/guest/ folder. Additional info:
    If I use the terminal, the M106 and M107 commands turn the fan on and off as expected (if mattercontrol was loaded and has not yet printed). But if something is printed, those commands no longer work until I reload mattercontrol.

  • @larsbrubaker Forgot to mention this is the 1.7.5 version of Matter Control.



  • This is now resolved. It was actually a problem with the anycubic chiron firmware. I replaced it with Marlin 2.0.7.2 and the fan works fine now.
