Remove the filament if I am not using my printer?

Hey folks! I am curious, if I am not going to be using my printer for a while do I need to remove the filament from the machine to prevent clumps?

I remove the filament when I am not using it so I can put it in a bag with dessecant and my dry box alone for the reason to keep it dry and dust free. I usually do it with a cold pull to clean the nozzle at the same time
