Wanhao Duplicator I3 Plus

I am unable to get MatterControl to connect to my Wanhao Duplicator I3 Plus. I suspect that this is due to a new controller in the Plus model.
Can anyone confirm?

I doubt that is the cause of the issue. Wanhao specifically lists MatterControl as compatible software on their site. Do you know what kind of controller is in the new model?

No, I had read a different post somewhere (sorry, I didn't save) that that was the case. The Printer connects to the PC and I see it in the Device Manager (Windows 10) and the port settings are correct, and the driver is up to date, but Mattercontrol says it can't connect. I've run out of ideas.

Maybe they just changed the baud rate. Have you tried that? Do you know anything about what firmware they are using?

I'm new at this, but from their website "I3_plus_V2.1.8.hex" that's all I can find.

P.S. The port settings in Device Manager are the same as in MatterControl, so the baud rate is the same.

I installed MatterControl on my iMac and I could not connect to the printer.

Are you able to connect using other software (Cura, etc.)? If so we would know if the issue is local to MatterControl or the printer itself.

I found with Simplify3d, Cura and Repetier that I had to change the baud rate to 115200 to successfully connect, i'm guessing it will most likely be the same with MatterControl. Note: i'm using a Win 10 machine. Also you could try using the drivers found here.
