Introducing MatterControl T10
Hey Everyone!
We are pleased to announce that the all new MatterControl T10 3D Printer Controller will be released this Thursday, March 31st! Pre-orders are being taken, and units are guaranteed to ship out on the 31st.
Let us know if you have any questions!
gcode-(making real stupid moves)
I notice that you have Wipe on Retract turned on. This option backtracks the nozzle whenever a retract is done, in order to wipe excess filament off. In your case, its probably unnecessary and may be causing some of your issues.
MatterControl 1.5 - Released
@Panacaguy and @jvhilton,
Remove the following line from your End GCode, if it is there.
G28
Do not remove any lines like the following, but do make sure that all letters on these lines are uppercase.
G28 X0 G28 Y0
G28
is the command that tells your printer to home. It is safe to home the X and Y axis, but when you issue G28
without any parameters, it homes all three axes (including Z) and crashes into the bed. I'm not sure why the lone G28
would be in there in the first place. Nevertheless, this seems to be the case for some people.
Image converter does not save the file
Hi, sorry I haven't had the time to connect, my build is 1.5.1.6632, problem persist, thanks!!
Image converter does not save the file
By the way, my printer is a Hesine Reprap 3, I've been using Matter Control since new, almost a year ago, excelent program, I haven't have problems, until now, and just with Inage converter, thanks!!
Image converter does not save the file
I've just tested Image Converter on the build you're running, and it seems to be working as expected. Thus, the problem is most likely something to do with the image you're trying to convert.
IC has a hard time with some larger or complex images. Are you able to post the picture on here? Alternatively, you can email the image to support@matterhackers.com and I'll check it out.
gcode-(making real stupid moves)
in this case it is helping by removing some extrude,
i had it turned off and had more stringy-ness than when on,
the blobs you see on the item in the 3rd last pic are definitively from the start and end of a perimeter move, i watched this and other prints tediously from start to finish
you can actually see the blob form as the head stops for a spilt second,
i dont understand why the code is stopping the head in between each move? if that was not happening i would have no blobs there.
it is very obvious as you observe the motion, from stationary it completes the outer shell move then the inner 2 layers then the inside perimeter then stops at the start position for that split second.
Same story when the check box for "Do not cross perimeters" is checked? lol what part of cross dont the code understand? the code just gives me the middle finger and crosses the perimeter and spews filament all over the print?
Considering a Rostock MAX v2
I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive printer which has good resolution and a large print volume, heated platform (ABS, PET).
I'm considering the Rostock MAX v2 kit, but I'm a little daunted by the amount of time involved in building it and calibrating it.
Can anyone speak to these concerns? Have you built a Rostock or other delta? Is it a solid design? Or do they require constant tweaks and repairs?
Ideally I'd like something which works well, minimal tweaks / repairs, but prints ABS / PET / PLA with a good output quality.
I'm a EE grad, I write software at my day job. I do build a lot of RC stuff. So I'm good a soldering, wiring, and fair at troubleshooting electronics.
Thanks,
-Jim
Fan control during bridging
Mattercontrol newbie here.
Use 1.5 vesion.
Choose to use it over Cura as it has fan control for bridging.
I need bridge fan control only for PETg printing.
But sofar no coller fan running during a layer that need bridging.
Option is marked.
Is there a setting for a minimum distance that this option is not working?
