what filament for printer parts

  • OK.....

I've bought a printer.... lets say a TAZ6 or any other....

first thing to do, with most printers, is to print a load of spare parts for the printer itself.

SO... what do you consider the best filament to use...

most manufacturers said PLA but more often, now, ABS or ABSplus.... but which filament is actually best....

for ease, it is probably PLAplus but for longevity its, maybe, one of the graphene supplemented filaments...

what do YOU think is best... and why / why not...

excuse the odd punctuation but this dell has decided it won't allow shift keys...

  • Since you mention the TAZ 6, Lulzbot prints all TAZ parts in ABS.

PLA is fine in most cases, however you just have to remember not to leave the printer in your car on a hot day.

The components for the Pulse are printed from our Ryno filament, which is a copolyester (same family as PETG). It is about as easy to print as PLA, but has better resistance to heat.
