Heating failed

  • Been having an issue recently.

All has been OK until recently, when I started to get some strange behaviour. Printing is not a problem. However, when the print is completed and I try to print again, or print something else, the printer shuts down and all I see is "Heating failed" on the printer display. At the moment all I can do is disconnect the printer in MC, disconnect and shut down the printer, reconnect and power up again. This clears the "error" and I can continue printing.

This issue does not appear if I pause and resume a print or if I cancel a print after it's started and restart after cancel.

This happens with all filaments I use (with their relevant heat settings) i.e. PLA, ABS, HIPS.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Tom

  • Not sure what would be causing that, but we might be able to figure it out.

Can you post a Terminal Log, exported after a successful print and you get the error message? http://wiki.mattercontrol.com/Send_Debugging_Information#Print_Log_.2F_Terminal_Log

Please share via Dropbox, Google Drive, or similar, then post the link.
