Educator new to printing, looking for where to find plans

  • Hello all! I'm a high school science teacher that will be printing hands for e-nable, as well as using our 3D Printers for general curriculum-related prints.

I know that thingiverse has a lot of science-related prints. Are there other websites that are user-friendly to get plans from? I know very little about where to find good plans, but am very eager to learn, so any assistance you could provide would be wonderful! Thanks so much.

  • MatterHackers

The Smithsonian is scanning and releasing tons of pieces they have. We just printed a scan of the Columbia spacecraft from the Apollo 11 mission.

Youmagine.com is another good site for free STL files.

  • NASA publishes a lot of 3D models as well.
